This model shows both sides of an eye which is enlarged 5 times. One panel of the model shows the eye socket with a sagittal cutaway, the background to the eye, and the electron microscopic fine structure of the retina. Each are shown separately on the base. The other panel shows positioning of an eye with surrounded muscles and nerves. All parts of the model are mounted on bases and not removable.
